Job Outline: A leading Investment, Construction and Facilities provider requires an FF&E Specialist to manage the solution UK wide.
Role: • Ensuring that the optimum education FF&E solutions are provided • Being the businesses 'Source of FF&E knowledge', and being at the leading edge of FF&E design and thinking in the BSF market • Developing processes and procedures to ensure optimum FF&E solutions are incorporated within new projects
Key tasks: Developing strategic intellectual property on what constitutes optimum FF&E solutions - this includes developing metrics to demonstrate the additional value of one solution over another in terms of educational outcomes, transformation and whole life cost.
• Working within integrated teams to facilitate the development of the optimum FF&E solutions. • Developing processes and procedures for the attainment of the optimum FF&E solution within a BSF bidding environment/process • Understanding and communication of the attributes of solutions in terms of educational transformation, capital cost, whole life cost, sustainability and adaptability. • Facilitating and overseeing the provision of room layouts, FF&E schedules and cost schedules to be incorporated in to bidding and project development; • Advising on FF&E supply market options.
Qualifications and specialist training: • Degree educated • Construction / project management qualifications an advantage. • Understanding of educational models • Understanding of BSF, its goals and the part FF&E can play in their achievement
Personal qualities: • High degree of intellect and strategic thinking • Great communicator and persuader • Superb knowledge of the education FF&E market
Experience to carry a distinct advantage: • BSF bidding and development process • Managing the FF&E solution within BSF, PFI or D&B procurement • Knowledge on trends in education delivery
